Lecturer / Assistant / Associate / Full Professor – Staff Anesthesiologist – UHN Sinai Health (SH), University Health Network (UHN) and Women’s College Hospital (WCH) are seeking an academic anesthesiologist for full‑time active staff at Mount Sinai Hospital, Toronto General Hospital, Toronto Western Hospital, or Women’s College Hospital in Toronto. The successful applicant will be eligible for an academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology & Pain Medicine, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. The start date will be mutually agreed upon. Responsibilities Provide anesthetic care across surgical and obstetric programs, including supervision and teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows. Perform on‑call services in rotation. Participate in formal in‑house and university teaching programs. Undertake hospital administrative duties. Engage in research and teaching activities, with protected time awarded on a merit‑based system. Facilitate research, teaching, and education for colleagues. Deliver teaching concurrently with clinical care or in organized educational programmes. Qualifications Medical degree with postgraduate fellowship training in anesthesiology. Certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Anesthesia (or equivalent) and eligibility for licensure in Ontario. Proven high‑level clinical skills. Demonstrated excellence in research and/or education. Commitment to teaching students, residents, and fellows. Compensation & Benefits Compensation will depend on the amount of clinical work performed and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience, within the usual range for an anesthesiologist in Ontario ($300,000‑$500,000 per annum).
