The successful candidate will qualify for an academic position as a Clinician‑Teacher or Clinician‑Educator and must be eligible for a full‑time clinical academic appointment at the rank of Lecturer, or preferably Assistant, Associate or Full Professor at the University of Toronto. Anticipated start date is as soon as March 1, 2026, or as determined in discussions with the candidate. Responsibilities Provide youth psychiatry services alongside a multi‑disciplinary team, focusing on delivering excellent clinical care for complex mood and anxiety disorders. Work in a variety of settings, including the youth inpatient unit (managing 2–4 adolescent youth beds on average). Participate in urgent outpatient assessments and develop new outpatient services and programs, including collaborative care, to build capacity and optimize urgent care assessment pathways. Engage in research participation and dissemination, particularly projects aligned with divisional priorities around quality improvement initiatives. Participate in the clinical and academic interprofessional activities of the Department of Psychiatry and the Youth Division of Psychiatry, including the psychiatry call system and teaching program. Contribute to a program of educational scholarship, leadership, and administration focused on child and adolescent psychiatry (CAP) and progress toward an education leadership position. Support CAP training and teaching across the continuum of education (undergraduate MD, resident, fellowship, and continuing medical education). Qualifications MD degree with Royal College/Board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry. Eligibility for medical licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario. Preferred eligibility for FRCPC in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent. Track record of excellence in teaching with frequent presence of learners on the team. Compensation Compensation will be based on protected academic time commensurate with the candidate’s academic experience and expertise, plus a fee‑for‑service structure, with additional funding through Academic and Educational Trust Funds and/or Departmentally‑sanctioned administrative roles.
