In this critical position, you will apply your expertise in Kinesiology to create exercise programs that cater to residents' physical and cognitive needs. Partnering with healthcare professionals, you will facilitate resident assessments and manage Kinesiology training placements, promoting a culture of active living and health advocacy.
Key Responsibilities: • Craft tailored cognitive and physical exercise initiatives • Collaborate with physiotherapists and occupational therapists • Oversee the placement of students and Kinesiology helpers • Deliver educational sessions on exercise safety • Assess residents' transfer needs for optimal safety
Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a focus on rehabilitation • Registration with the College of Kinesiologists is beneficial • Background in senior care or cognitive disabilities preferred • Knowledge of applicable health regulations and best practices • Respectful and compassionate approach to care
