Our automated equipment is used within a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Entertainment, Manufacturing and Construction. At Streamline Automation, we help our clients combine their imagination with our CNC technology to create products that set the creative bar. Our clients are innovative companies from around the world who create stunning themed environments, signage, sculpture, exhibits and a range of other projects.

Sound like fun? We're hiring a Shop Assistant to support our growing business. This entry-level position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with their hands, wants to learn about CNC systems, and is excited about the opportunity to grow into a more technical role over time.

What You'll Do (No Experience Needed – We Train You)

  • Assist with basic shop tasks including equipment assembly, packaging, organization and shipping
  • Help prepare materials for training, demos, and machine installations
  • Support technicians with CNC system prep and testing
  • Keep the shop clean, well-stocked, and safe
  • Learn how our FROG3D CNC systems work, with opportunities to develop into a technician

What We're Looking For

  • You're mechanically inclined and comfortable with hand and power tools
  • You enjoy figuring things out and learning new skills
  • You're organized, dependable, and take pride in doing quality work
  • You can lift up to 50 lbs and are comfortable working in a shop environment
  • You have a valid Alberta driver's license and are legally able to work in Canada

Nice to Have (But Not Required)

  • Experience with basic electronics, woodworking, or fabrication
  • Familiarity with CNC, 3D printing, or CAD software
  • A "get-it-done" attitude and maybe a sense of humor
  • Mad ping pong skills
