Customer Care & Logistics Coordinator – Abbotsford, BC
A leading construction materials provider is seeking a
Customer Care & Logistics Coordinator
to manage daily order scheduling and serve as the primary contact for customers at the Abbotsford ready-mix location. This fast-paced role requires strong multitasking, communication, and customer service skills.
What You'll Do
- Act as the first point of contact for customer inquiries and order updates.
- Review and validate orders, noting special requirements.
- Communicate policies, order details, driver instructions, and delivery expectations.
- Support drivers with accurate job-site details, directions, and issue resolution.
- Update customers on delays, ETAs, availability, and pricing.
- Coordinate closely with Logistics, Operations, Sales, Quality, and Shipping.
- Investigate and document order or delivery issues, including QA/QC or safety incidents.
- Handle administrative tasks to support billing, ticket tracking, and issue resolution.
- Follow and promote all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in construction, logistics, or a fast-paced call-centre environment (asset).
- Strong communication skills (phone & email) and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.
- Solid PC skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Reliable transportation and flexibility for occasional Saturday shifts.
- Knowledge of local geography and familiarity with construction sites is an asset.
- Ability to follow PPE/safety requirements, including respirator guidelines.
