Tweed Veterinary Services is looking for a full time Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist.

We are looking for an energetic and outgoing individual to join our team The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, compassionate, reliable and able to work in a fast paced team environment as well as independently.

Preferred assets are but not limited to:

  • Familiar with Avimark
  • Veterinary Assistant Certificate
  • Knowledge of IDEXX Vet Lab
  • Clinic experience

Duties can include:

  • Answering phone calls/ Scheduling appointments (through Avimark)
  • Emailing; client communication
  • Check in/discharge patients
  • Processing payments (Debit/credit, cash)
  • Assisting Dr with appointments
  • Cleaning tasks
  • Pet handling/restraints
  • Handling blood/fecal/urine samples
  • Filling prescriptions

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills (written and oral)
  • Ability to multitask
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and efficiency should a situation arise
  • Participate in staff meetings and training; eager to learn
  • Flexibility with schedule -- (including rotating Saturday Shift)

We are a small but busy clinic. We strive to give our clients and patients the best care and service possible. We offer opportunity for further learning through various online courses.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$18.00 per hour
