Sales Account Manager

An Global Food Wholesale and Distributor is searching for a Sales Account Manager in the Calgary, AB area to travel and share their goods with the regional community. This role is perfect for someone with strong interpersonal skills, a passion for sales, and an interest in Japanese food culture. You will be responsible for maintaining and expanding relationships with customers and vendors, presenting new products and sales performance reviews, and conducting market research on trends, products, and competitors.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact for Chinese or Japanese and English-speaking clients, handling inquiries, orders, and contract negotiations
- Prepare and deliver proposals, and presentations to prospective clients
- Manage a portfolio of existing and prospective accounts, driving sales growth and meeting revenue targets
- Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery and product availability
- Resolve customer issues promptly, escalating when necessary to maintain high levels of satisfaction
Requirements:
- Associate degree in Business, Marketing, Supply Chain, or related field
- Minimum of 1 year experience in account management, sales, or customer service within the food import / export, or food distribution / wholesale
- Basic knowledge of Asian food products
- Strong communication skills in both verbal and written
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills
- Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required
- Must have a valid driver's license
- willing to travel up to 50% including overnight travel.
- Proficiency in Japanese AND/OR Chinese.
- Proficiency in Korean is a Bonus.
- Perform tasks requiring standing for long time, walking, and lifting up to 25Kg along with close and distance vision capabilities and hearing capabilities.

While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift 10-25 pounds if needed. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
