Job Purpose And Summary
This Financial Accountant will support the General Accounting team to ensure the timely and accurate month-end close and financial reporting. The role will assume accounting responsibilities surrounding a number of areas within THP that will include retail accounting, account reconciliations, and other general accounting requirements.

Key Areas Of Focus

• Accounting responsibility for processing month-end journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting, liaising with relevant external parties, department counterparts and leads, and assisting where required

Specific Accountabilities

• Processes journal entries for responsible areas and supports the month-end close process
• Completes monthly balance sheet account reconciliations accurately and timely reflecting the financial position of the organization and highlight potential exposures
• Participates in month end and year end close activities including external audit support
• Collaborates with relevant 3rd parties in relation to retail spaces and other relevant stakeholders

Key Qualifications

• A minimum 3 to 5 years of related progressive experience preferred
• Education – college or university designation with Intermediate accounting courses completed
• Working knowledge of Meditech financial modules preferred
• Demonstrated experience applying Financial Accounting best practices
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills combined with excellent organizational and, analytical and attention to detail
• Computer skills, including MS Outlook, MS Office – Word, Excel (pivot tables) , PowerPoint, Internet based programs and Meditech
