DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within the security and protective services industries
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with both existing and prospective clients
- Conduct ongoing market research to understand industry trends, customer needs, and competitive positioning
- Lead negotiations and close sales deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements and long-term partnerships
- Work closely with Regional Director and internal teams to design and deliver security and risk management solutions that meet and exceed client expectations
- Represent Guardium at industry events, conferences, and networking events to build brand presence and expand professional networks
- Complete all BDM roles and responsibilities, … and provide assistance and support to the Regional Director and Senior Management where and when required.
- Collaborate and communicate daily to support the office admin & HR dept's to ensure scheduling and staffing is complete for sites and clients, and make adjustments as necessary.
- Proficiency with computers, MS Office (Word, Excel) and applications.
- Strong awareness and use of IT, social media, and phone/device apps.
- Solid background in B2B sales, and business and marketing development.
- Affinity to create solutions to security and risk management concerns.
- Experience in preparing proposals for RFP's and business security assessments.
- Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data.
- Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada a strong asset.
- Upkeep and submission of mobile billing, fuel logs, shift reports, incident reports, and run sheets.
- Development and follow-up of all SOP's, duties, and PO's for all client sites.
- Review, develop, and enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
- Drafting of and execution of service agreements and contracts.
- Familiarity with OH&S, COR certification, and sitting on safety committee.
- Deliver on deadlines and targets, both for sales development and operational facets of branch.
- Monitor and immediately respond to Client and public issues, making sure service standards and requirements are met at all times
- Excellent knowledge of City of Edmonton and greater area centers, streets and neighborhoods
- General knowledge of road and weather conditions, and access/interpretation of info lines and applications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Be eligible to work in Canada
- Have minimum high school diploma or equivalent
- MUST be able to speak, read, and write English proficiently (min. level IV competency)
- MUST have a current and valid Alberta Security License
- Available flexible work schedule, primarily weekdays 8 am – 5 pm, but weekends and weeknights also
- Ability to travel locally in province, as well as regionally and nationally as needed
- Must have a valid and current Class Five (5) Alberta Driver's License
- Ability to provide a clear and current Driver's Abstract
- Ability to be vehicle insured and bonded in Alberta
- Have minimum five (5) years sales and/or marketing experience in the Security and Protective Services industries
- Experience in a customer service or public interaction role a definite asset
- Excellent note taking and reporting writing skills, both hard copy and digitally
- Strong experience with online and computer report writing software and applications
- Experience and knowledge of and working with OH&S and Safety programs
- Superior ability to multi-task, critical thinker, work independently, and problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, professional and communication skills
- Outstanding organizational, time management, and customer service skills
