How will you make an impact in this role?

  • The Commercial Credit Specialist is responsible for collecting monies owed Amex on corporate accounts ranging from small companies to large global enterprises.

  • An essential part of the job will be offering payment solutions based on the customer's filing their expense reports and the cash flow availability of the business to help clear the delinquency on the account.

  • Excellent communication skills are a must with the goal of negotiating immediate payments on accounts to reduce and prevent credit losses.

  • Make Quality decisions on all Cases leveraging a variety of tools and strategies.

  • At times you may be required to convey difficult and unfavorable decision messages such as declining requests to extend credit or severing the Amex relationship.

  • Collaboration and building effective relationships at all levels in the collection cycle is a daily occurrence.

  • Daily inventory will be assigned through a Dialer campaign which will flex you to the point where you will be required to handle both incoming and outgoing calls for credit related matters.

  • You will use your skills and expertise to leave a lasting, positive impression.  Additionally, you will be expected to meet performance standards and quality goals. 

  • The hours for this role will be 11am-7pm - Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

  • Excellent consultation, persuasion and negotiation skills---phone presence with call centre experience.

  • Proven ability to speak clearly and express self well in one-to-one conversation demonstrating superior/excellent verbal communication skills. Must be able to communicate clearly in English as you converse and engage in complex conversations.

  • Previous credit experience is an asset.

  • Daily inventory will be assigned through a Credit Dialer which will flex you to the point where you will be required to handle incoming and outgoing calls for credit related matters.

  • Keen attention to detail is required when handling complex account information by using analytical thinking and account level research along with the ability to perform basic math functions so that you can identify solutions to close gaps.

  • Demonstrated computer skills, with experience working in a multi-pane Windows environment.

  • Must have the ability and desire to meet monthly goals and have good interpersonal skills that make you a team player.
