A busy and reputable personal injury law firm in Toronto is seeking a skilled Tort Law Clerk - Plaintiff side - to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will bring at least 3 years of experience in tort litigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage files independently from intake through trial.

This is an in-office role, perfect for a law clerk who thrives in a collaborative, professional environment and is looking to advance within personal injury law.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all aspects of plaintiff 
    personal injury tort files
    , from opening to trial prep.
  • Draft pleadings, affidavits, motion records, and correspondence.
  • Schedule discoveries, mediations, and pre-trials.
  • Communicate with clients, experts, insurance adjusters, and opposing counsel.
  • Manage deadlines, organize documents, and assist with 
    court filings
    .
  • Maintain strong file management in compliance with 
    Rules of Civil Procedure
    .

Qualifications

  • Minimum 
    3 years of experience
     as a 
    Law Clerk in Tort or Personal Injury litigation
    .
  • Law Clerk Diploma
  • Familiarity with 
    Primafact, PC Law, or related legal software
    .
  • Strong drafting, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of 
    Ontario civil litigation processes
    .
  • Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent practical experience.
