About the Role:

Our client, a busy and reputable personal injury law firm in Toronto, is seeking a motivated Law Clerk with 2+ years of experience in personal injury litigation. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting lawyers with all aspects of file management, client communication, and litigation procedures.

Key Responsibilities:


• Manage personal injury files from intake to settlement/trial preparation.


• Draft and prepare pleadings, motion records, affidavits of documents, settlement briefs, and correspondence.


• Schedule discoveries, mediations, medical assessments, and court appearances.


• Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, medical professionals, and insurance adjusters.


• Organize and maintain client files (both electronic and paper).


• Monitor limitation periods and ensure deadlines are met.


• Assist with trial and mediation preparation.

Qualifications:


• Law Clerk diploma or equivalent education.


• 2+ years of experience in personal injury litigation at a law firm.


• Strong knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and personal injury processes (tort and AB).


• Proficiency in MS Office and litigation management software.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.


• Ability to manage multiple files and work in a fast-paced environment.
