Job Summary:

We're seeking passionate and energetic instructors to teach Coding, Robotics, and general STEAM activities to school-aged children. If you love working with kids and have a background in tech or education, this is the perfect opportunity to make a difference while doing what you love.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and age-appropriate lessons in coding, robotics, and other STEAM topics.
  • Teach small groups in-person and/or online using provided curriculum and resources.
  • Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive, inclusive environment.
  • Set up and maintain equipment (e.g., laptops, robotics kits).
  • Communicate with parents and supervisors regarding student progress and class updates.
  • Provide feedback for continuous curriculum improvement.

Requirements:

  • Experience in teaching or working with children (formal or informal).
  • Knowledge of programming languages (e.g., Scratch, Python, Blockly) and educational robotics platforms (e.g., LEGO, micro:bit, Arduino, VEX).
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Passion for STEAM education and hands-on learning.
  • Reliable transportation for in-person sessions (if applicable).
  • Criminal record check (or willingness to obtain).

Nice to Have:

  • Background in education, computer science, engineering, or related field.
  • Familiarity with tools like Tinkercad, Makey Makey, or 3D printing.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
