Role
Join us to become pioneer in Robotics education As an educator, it is an amazing opportunity to work with latest educational robots, build your own ones if you like, and teach with some of the best STEM curriculum. As instructor, you get to experiment with latest educational robots and electronics kits. Our hardware and curriculum always evolve and adapt and you have the opportunity to contribute. On a day to day basis, you will be teaching Robotics and Programming to middle school and elementary school students. Use our own robots or create more of your own if you like. We provide projects, class plans and access to necessary hardware and software. A technology teacher training will be provided. You get to see the progress a lot of kids make in the technology domain and inspire them to take up technology careers down the line. You need to be based in Surrey/Coquitlam BC/Lower mainland and will travel to different locations(mostly schools) within the city to deliver the classes. Mostly one location a day.

Role Details
Typical work hours are typically from 10 am to 5/6 pm PST on weekdays. Weekend work could be online or in school and hours are flexible.

Job Requirements:
**Qualifications**:

- Mandatory - Completed a minimum of One or Two year program in Computers/ Mechatronics/Electronics or other closely related engineering disciplines.
- Mandatory - Excellent, communication skills and ability communicating with children.
- Mandatory - Available for two consecutive terms (8 months) as Co-Op.
- Desirable - Teaching/Camp counsellor/STEM educator Experience in Canada. Any group setting teaching would be an asset.
- Desirable - Scratch/Python/Lego kids programming experience.
- Desirable - Familiar with Canadian Education System, completed schooling/College in Canada.

Requirements Non-Technical:

- Want to have a positive impact on kids.
- Want to share your love for technology and making.
- Imaginative mindset for game development.
- Dig a relaxed, casual, work environment but remember it is a work environment.

Learning the Role
We provide in person training in the technology, course and class plans. We do everything we can to train you and make yourself comfortable.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Internship, Apprenticeship
Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
