Duties and Functions:

  • Comply with all company security policies, procedures, and standards
  • Effectively manage the company's health and safety program
  • Ensure that the COR program process is done annually
  • Conduct the safety manual review and risk assessment annually
  • Inspect all work sites
  • Verify that safe work regulations, practices and procedures are followed
  • Identify and control hazards
  • Keeping a record of OHS reports
  • Investigate
  • Collaborate with the WorkSafeNB inspector
  • Ensure that the storekeeper updates the Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
  • Do the annual statistics
  • Identify and provide mandatory training
  • Plan and attend the monthly joint health and safety committee meeting
  • Attend other various tasks as instructed

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in one of the following fields:

    (Occupational Health and Safety; Human resources management; Industrial relations; Business Administration; Engineering)

  • NCSO or NHSA Professional Certification

  • Experience with the COR program
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Effective bilingual communication (French and English) orally and in writing
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Very good communication and teamwork skills
  • Autonomous, rigorous with a spirit of initiative
  • Have a valid driver's license

Compensation and benefits:

  • Salary between $80,000 and $95,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications
  • Laptop, cell phone and vehicle provided for work

  • Weekly salary for +- 50 hours per week
