Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team by providing exceptional patient care, assisting with procedures, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in delivering quality dental services.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments in accordance with infection control protocols
  • Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, including surgical and orthodontic treatments
  • Take and develop dental radiographs using CAD technology when necessary
  • Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
  • Manage patient records using a software system
  • Ensure patient comfort throughout their visit and address any questions or concerns
  • Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and managing patient flow as a dental receptionist if and when needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience in dental assisting, with knowledge of medical terminology and dental procedures
  • Familiarity with any dental software is a plus
  • Strong understanding of infection control standards and sterilization procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team of dental professionals
  • Certification or training in dental assisting is required
  • Knowledge of dental reception duties is advantageous but not mandatory
