Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring that our patients receive the highest quality of care. This position requires a blend of clinical and administrative skills, making it essential for the candidate to be organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about patient care.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary tools and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are stocked.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix or Epic.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient flow within the office.
  • Handle administrative tasks including billing, insurance verification, and patient communication.
  • Support orthodontic procedures and assist with pediatric dental care when necessary.

Skills

  • Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Experience with dental software systems, particularly Dentrix and Epic.
  • Familiarity with orthodontics practices and pediatric dentistry is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact positively with patients and team members.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
