Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will support the dental team in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinic operations, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced, professional setting with a focus on patient comfort and clinical excellence. Experience with dental software and procedures is highly valued.
Duties
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
- Assist the dentist during various surgical procedures including, extractions, grafting, implants, sinus lifts, IV sedation and All on X (teeth in a day)
- Take dental radiographs (X-rays) when necessary.
- Manage patient records accurately using Abeldent
- Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
- Maintain infection control protocols and adhere to all safety guidelines.
- Assist with laboratory procedures related to crowns, bridges, or orthodontic appliances as required.
Experience
- Prior experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; certification in dental assisting is required
- Familiarity with dental software platforms such as Abeldent is a plus.
- Knowledge of surgical procedures is an asset
- Understanding of medical terminology relevant to dentistry is beneficial.
- Experience with CAD systems used for designing dental restorations or appliances is advantageous.
- Previous work supporting both clinical procedures and administrative functions will be considered an asset.
