Position Overview

Santec Canada is looking to add an Inventory Clerk to the team. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and preparing material kits for production. The Inventory Clerk will also record incoming parts in the inventory management system and complete regular inventory counts.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and supplies in the inventory management system.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts through regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Pick, organize, and assemble kits of materials, parts, and components for production.
  • Ensure kits are complete, correctly labeled, and delivered to the production area on schedule.
  • Track and report inventory discrepancies, damaged goods, and stock shortages.
  • Support inventory optimization by identifying slow-moving or low stock items.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe inventory and kitting areas.
  • Collaborate with purchasing, production, and quality teams to resolve material or documentation issues.
  • Assist in developing and improving inventory control and kitting processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Highschool diploma
  • 1-2 years of inventory control experience
  • Experience with an inventory management system is preferred
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to safely lift and move material up to 50 lbs.
  • Time management skills
  • Computer skills in MS Word and Excel
