Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. This role is vital in providing exceptional customer experiences, managing transactions efficiently, and supporting our store operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering excellent service. Bilingual abilities and experience in technology sales or product demonstrations are a plus, helping to enhance customer engagement and sales opportunities.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Operate the POS system accurately for cash, card, and digital payments
  • Handle cash handling responsibilities with precision and integrity
  • Provide product demos and technical sales support when needed
  • Upsell products and services to maximize sales opportunities
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays to attract customers
  • Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism
  • Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves
  • Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming
  • Support store team with various tasks to ensure smooth daily operations

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are highly desirable
  • Strong customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Experience with POS systems and retail sales processes
  • Knowledge of merchandising and product presentation techniques
  • Ability to perform product demos and technical sales effectively
  • Organizational skills to manage time efficiently during busy periods
  • Phone etiquette for professional customer interactions
  • Upselling techniques to enhance sales performance
  • Ability to multitask while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
