About the Role

As a Sr. Associate IT Support, you will provide Tier 2 technical support for McKesson's Edmonton Distribution Center, ensuring reliable IT services that enable operational excellence. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, configure systems, and maintain IT assets while collaborating with regional IT teams. This role is critical to maintaining business continuity and supporting McKesson's mission to improve lives and advance healthcare.

What You'll Do

  • Respond to incidents and service requests, meeting defined SLAs.
  • Analyze and resolve Tier 2 desktop issues escalated from Service Desk.
  • Configure and deploy systems for new users, replacements, and asset moves.
  • Maintain and support printers, copiers, A/V equipment, and other hardware.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and update asset management systems.
  • Apply workstation patches and maintain compliance with security standards.
  • Document processes and create knowledge base articles for IT operations.
  • Provide informal training and guidance to end-users on IT systems.
  • Collaborate with regional IT teams for escalations and project support.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed to meet company goals.

Basic Requirements

Degree or technical diploma in Computer Systems or Information Technology (or equivalent combination of education and experience).

Typically requires 2+ years of relevant IT support experience.

Must Haves

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Experience with Windows OS, Microsoft Office Suite, and common enterprise tools.
  • Familiarity with incident management tools (e.g., Remedy, ServiceNow).
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong documentation and organizational skills.

Nice to Haves

  • A+ Certification.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow asset management.

Physical Requirements

  • On-site role at Edmonton Distribution Center.
  • Ability to lift and move IT equipment as needed.
  • Flexibility to work occasional overtime or off-hours for critical support.
