We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team. The successful candidate will support the daily financial operations of the dealership, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with internal policies. This is an entry-level position, ideal for someone looking to gain hands-on accounting experience in a fast-paced automotive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Check, balance all the work orders and post to GL
  • Deposit Cash to the Bank
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable process
  • Ensure all credit card slips are received and balanced with bank
  • Issue monthly accounts receivable statements to customers & follow up on past due accounts
  • Update management on past due receivables
  • Receive supplier invoices, check invoices against purchase orders, code and enter in the Dealer Management System
  • Arrange to run monthly supplier checks, communicate with vendors and assist with audits; compare the supplier's monthly statement with our records; communicate with vendors and solve problem as needed.
  • Enter collection receipts into the systems
  • Prepare and enter journal vouchers into the system
  • Reconciliation with Head Office statements and warranty statement
  • Process accounting files for dealerships departments, filing and scanning
  • Maintain General ledger and post journal entries
  • Assist in preparation of monthly statements through reconciliation of various accounts
  • Assist Accounting Manager with the month end and year end closing
  • Assist with company's audits and prepare all the reports
  • Back up for other team members during absences
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications; experience with dealership management software
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting field.
