Job Description

Simpson Family Farms is seeking a reliable and motivated individual to join our team as a Farm Labourer & Driver Assistant. This part-time position involves working both on the farm and on the road alongside our delivery driver to support daily operations. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, being part of a team, and helping ensure our fresh produce reaches customers safely and efficiently.

We will provide training for the right person who demonstrates a strong work ethic, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assist the driver with loading and unloading produce at customer locations (restaurants, markets, wholesalers)
  • Ride along with the driver to support delivery runs (no driving required)
  • Help with harvesting, grading, and packing produce on the farm
  • Follow all safety and lifting protocols (must be able to lift 50 lbs)

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs repeatedly
  • Dependable, punctual, and cooperative team player
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Previous farm or labour experience an asset, but not required

Preferred Skills

  • Experience handling produce or working in a warehouse/farm setting
  • Familiarity with basic tools or light equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts – training provided)
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: From $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 25 per week

Work Location: In person
