Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Farm Worker to join our agricultural team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting daily farm operations, including planting, harvesting, maintenance, and equipment handling. This role offers an opportunity to work outdoors in a dynamic environment, contributing to the efficient and sustainable operation of our farm. Prior experience in horticulture or farm machinery is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops according to seasonal schedules
  • Operate and maintain farm machinery and power tools safely and effectively
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on irrigation systems and farm equipment
  • Use hand tools for various tasks such as pruning, staking, and soil preparation
  • Support irrigation setup and management to ensure proper water distribution
  • Conduct general farm maintenance including cleaning, repairing fences, and managing equipment
  • Assist with heavy lifting of supplies, produce, or equipment as needed
  • Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents during operation of heavy equipment or manual tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas to promote safety and efficiency

Requirements

  • Prior experience or knowledge in horticulture, farm machinery, or maintenance is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
  • Mechanical knowledge useful for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery and power tools safely
  • Basic math skills for measurements and record keeping
  • Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged outdoor work in various weather conditions
  • Familiarity with irrigation systems and general farm maintenance is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to learn new skills related to farming operations

Job Type: Seasonal

Contract length: 5.5 months

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
