**Job Overview**
Lionel’s Farm is looking for an enthusiastic and responsible individual to join our team. This position is perfect for someone who loves animals and enjoys working with children and families in an interactive, fun, and agricultural related environment. The role involves animal care, assisting with pony rides, as well as admission management and maintaining the cleanliness/safety of the petting farm.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist with leading pony rides for guests, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
- Care for a variety of animals, including feeding, grooming, and providing general health checks.
- Help maintain cleanliness in the petting pony ride areas, including cleaning animal areas.
- Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed during interactions with animals and guests.
- Welcome/facilitate admission for guests into petting farm/pony ride area
- Help with general farm tasks as needed.
- Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth and safe operation of the farm.
- Provide event support such as: birthday parties, school tours, etc.
- Ability to operate cash register/POS machine.

**Qualifications**
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with children and families.
- Physically capable of lifting, bending, and performing manual labor in an outdoor environment.
- Ability to handle animals safely and responsibly.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the farm - there is no public transportation available.
- First aid or CPR training is an asset.

**Working Conditions**
- Indoor and outdoor environment with exposure to varying weather conditions - rain, heat, cold, etc.
- Working times are weekdays, weekends and holidays, to accommodate visitors and special events.
- Daily interaction with a variety of animals, which may include cleaning, feeding, and handling.
- Training will be provided for safety standards, including animal handling and guest interaction.
- Work as part of a team to maintain the farm and ensure the smooth operation of the petting farm and pony ride areas.

**How to Apply**

**Job Types**: Part-time, Seasonal
Contract length: 4-6 months

Pay: $17.20 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 30 per week
