National Account Manager – Food Ingredients

We are seeking a National Account Manager to lead relationships with some of our largest customers across Canada and the U.S. This role is focused on managing and growing strategic accounts, driving profitable sales, and positioning our company as a partner of choice within the food ingredients and flavour sector.

Some of What you'll do:

  • Account Management & Growth
  • Own and grow relationships with key accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell flavours, mixes, and functional ingredients.
  • Deliver against sales targets and margin goals.
  • Customer Engagement
  • Serve as the customer's voice within the organization, ensuring alignment across internal teams.
  • Lead customer meetings, innovation sessions, and product presentations.
  • Negotiate pricing and contracts to build long-term partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with R&D to commercialize customer-specific formulations.
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy, reliable delivery, and supply chain performance.
  • Collaborate with Marketing on positioning, presentations, and product launches.
  • Business Development
  • Prospect within existing accounts and expand into new channels.
  • Support growth in the U.S. and other emerging markets.
  • Monitor competitive activity and market trends to guide strategy
  • Reporting & CRM
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and account plans.
  • Track opportunities in CRM and provide timely updates.
  • Deliver account performance reviews, gap analysis, and growth strategies.

You should have the following to apply:

  • 3–5+ years of experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development (food ingredients, bakery, or flavours experience strongly preferred).
  • Proven ability to grow large, complex accounts.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally and influencing without authority.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills.
