We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Advisor to join our automotive team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting customers with their parts needs, managing inventory, and providing exceptional service to ensure customer satisfaction. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and familiarity with automotive parts and sales processes. Experience in dealership environments and proficiency with POS systems are highly valued. The Parts Advisor plays a vital role in supporting the service department and enhancing overall sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Assist customers in identifying and selecting the correct automotive parts and accessories based on their needs and mechanic recommendations.
- Manage inventory levels, including order fulfillment, stock replenishment, and tracking parts availability.
- Utilize POS systems to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain organized records of sales, returns, and inventory movements using Microsoft Excel or similar tools.
- Provide excellent customer service through effective communication, phone etiquette, and personalized assistance.
- Collaborate with the service department to ensure timely parts delivery for repairs and maintenance.
- Handle cash transactions and perform cashiering duties with accuracy and integrity.
- Support marketing efforts by promoting special offers or new products to customers.
- Ensure the showroom and parts storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
- Engage in ongoing training to stay updated on automotive products, repair procedures, and sales techniques.
Experience
- Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required; relevant retail sales or customer service background is beneficial.
- Knowledge of basic automotive repair processes helps in understanding customer needs better.
- Strong communication skills, negotiation abilities, and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, math skills for order fulfillment, and phone etiquette are important assets for managing daily tasks effectively. This position offers an engaging environment where your expertise in automotive parts combined with excellent customer service skills will contribute significantly to our dealership's success. Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $16.75-$27.67 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 25 per week
