Job Description

What is the opportunity?

You will be supporting the Global Equity Derivatives business technology platform. This is a critical role which maintains platform services for sales and trading.

You will be responsible for maintaining stability and availability of the application, as well as continuous software releases to add features and enhancements.

What will you do?

  • Act immediately to identify the root cause for job failures and remediate.
  • Monitor via ITRS Dashboard to ensure health of Application.
  • Ensure timely delivery to downstream consumers (Front Office).
  • Drive improved stability and higher quality of data delivered to Front Office.
  • Document new issues that occur and maintain/enhance existing documentation to ensure consistent steps performed for known issues.
  • Coordinate between several groups to remediate issues (Support, Development).
  • Investigate pricing failures and resolve issues utilization various skills including SQL, Unix, Windows.
  • Develop scripts to automate processes using Powershell and other scripting languages.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:

  • Powershell scripting
  • SQL language (any DB language but SQL Server/Oracle preferred
  • Linux, Windows Server, ability to deep-dive into issues
  • ITRS Geneos Monitoring Software
  • Job Scheduler experience (i.e. BMC Control-M, Cron, etc.)

Nice-to-have:

  • Linux scripting
  • Experience working with Equity Derivatives and/or Analytics
  • Python
