Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) is a secure communication network system that involves advanced communication technology and meters. The meters used in AMI systems are commonly referred to as “smart meters” as they allow for remote two-way communication capability which enables a wide variety of benefits including operational efficiencies that translate into customer savings.

As a member of the IT Customer Experience Team, you will join a dynamic group of responsive professionals responsible for performing the tasks required to maintain this critical business infrastructure.

We are looking for an IT Application Support Analyst to join us in supporting the NS Power Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solution. As a member of the IT Customer Experience Team, you will join a dynamic group of responsive professionals responsible for performing the tasks required to maintain this critical business infrastructure.

Key elements of this role include:

- Develop and execute technical test cases.
- Develop, review and deliver knowledge to technology peers.
- Work with operational vendor support services to resolve issues.

You will be responsible for your personal safety and that of co-workers by observing all Occupational Health and Safety Rules and Regulations.

These skills will make you successful:

Experience and knowledge supporting technologies or processes such as:

- Application Support using technologies such as.Net, JMS, EJBs and Oracle WebLogic

- Bash/PowerShell Scripting.
- SQL, data retrieval and analysis.

Working knowledge and experience with the following would be an asset:

- Itron OpenWay Operations Center solutions.
- Billing Applications.
- ITIL processes.
