Are you passionate about supporting community members and enhancing social development? K'ómoks First Nation is seeking a dedicated and highly organized Social Development Coordinator to create and deliver impactful programs and services This dynamic role offers you the chance to make a real difference in our community while fostering collaborative relationships with community, staff and departments.
What You'll Do:
- Develop and manage comprehensive budgets that supports the Social Development programs and aligns within the Social Development policies and procedures.
- Determine eligibility needs and provide resource referrals to help applicants navigate available support within the Income Assistance and Assisted Living Programs.
- Maintain timely processing of all Social Development cheque requisitions and maintain accurate and updated records for all clients according to policy guidelines.
- Develop life skills workshops and programs for Social Development clients that foster connection, education and growth.
- Build partnerships with employment agencies to create job opportunities for community members and assist clients with job referrals.
- Coordinate the Assisted Living Program, ensuring support services align with budget and policy requirements.
Who We're Looking For:
If you possess strong leadership skills and thrive in a team environment, we want to hear from you Ideal candidates will have post-secondary education in Social Work or Human Services, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in delivering social service programs. You should be well-versed in budget management and skilled in building respectful relationships with diverse stakeholders. Cultural sensitivity and knowledge of the Indigenous governance landscape in BC are essential.

Pay: $27.41-$38.63 per hour
