Position Summary:

The Cart Handler / Warehouse Worker plays a key role in maintaining efficient operations both on the sales floor and in the warehouse. This position ensures a smooth flow of carts and merchandise throughout the store, assists customers with loading and returns, and supports warehouse functions including receiving, organizing, and shipping products. The role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork and safety in a fast-paced retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a consistent and organized flow of carts and baby strollers throughout the store, home delivery, and loading areas to enhance the customer shopping experience.
  • Assist customers with loading merchandise into vehicles and handle returns promptly and courteously.
  • Keep loading zones, outside areas, and workspaces clean, clear, and fully stocked with necessary supplies (e.g., twine).
  • Support warehouse operations by picking, labeling, storing, and relocating inbound and outbound merchandise using RF scanners and powered equipment.
  • Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely and efficiently (certification required; training provided if necessary).
  • Disassemble AS-IS merchandise and ensure accurate handling of customer orders and merchandise pulls.
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and safety in all tasks while managing heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) and repetitive physical activity.
  • Collaborate closely with warehouse, delivery, and sales teams to ensure smooth operational flow and uphold merchandise integrity.
  • Report damaged or inoperable equipment promptly and follow company policies for maintenance and safety.
  • Contribute to a positive, inclusive workplace culture that values teamwork, diversity, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous warehouse or retail operations experience preferred.
  • Forklift experience and certification a plus (must pass written and driving tests if applicable).
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
  • Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated team player.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and safety awareness.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
