Kitchener ON NM Y, Canada Lutheran Laymen's League Full time

About Us

Lutheran Laymen's League of Canada (LLL-Canada) is a high-performing, faith-driven

ministry dedicated to supporting outreach, strengthening congregations, and sharing the

Gospel through media, resources, and mission work. Our small staff is committed to

excellence, innovation, and joyful service. We care deeply about our mission and the

people who make it possible.

We offer fair compensation for the charitable sector, encourage healthy work–life rhythms,

and value staff wellbeing. At the same time, we work diligently and purposefully because

the work matters.

If you thrive in a fast-paced, purpose-centred environment and desire to contribute

meaningfully to a ministry that impacts communities across Canada, this may be the role

for you.

Our work is explicitly Christian in purpose and expression, and staff are expected to be comfortable supporting and advancing this mission in their daily work

Position Summary

The Office & Partnerships Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining our national radio

presence and supporting our development work. This individual will manage relationships

with radio stations that broadcast The Lutheran Hour, ensure contract accuracy and

renewal, help transition our stations to direct billing, and build strong connections with

broadcasters across the country.

This role will also support grant development and strategic funding initiatives. You will

research potential funding partners, evaluate opportunities, and prepare background

information so our leadership can confidently create Letters of Inquiry and grant

applications.

This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, curious, proactive, and motivated by working in a Christian, mission-driven organization.

Work Environment

This is an in-office position. While there is flexibility to work from home occasionally for

appointments or on an as-needed basis, regular presence in the office is essential. Our

busiest seasons require close collaboration, quick communication, and hands-on support,

and being physically present ensures we can serve our mission and one another effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Radio Contract & Broadcast Support (60%)

  • Maintain and develop positive relationships with Canadian radio stations

broadcasting The Lutheran Hour.

  • Track contract terms, renewal dates, and station contact information.
  • Oversee the transition from agency-managed contracts to direct billing with

individual stations.

  • Ensure accuracy of contractual details and invoicing information.
  • Respond to station inquiries and provide professional, timely follow-up.
  • Monitor broadcast coverage and identify opportunities for expansion or

improvement.

Grant Research & Partnerships (30%)

  • Research grant opportunities that align with LLL-Canada's mission, charitable

purpose, and Christian identity.

  • Evaluate funding criteria, deadlines, and eligibility requirements using CRA

databases, public records, directories, and online tools.

  • Prepare briefing notes and recommendations for Letters of Inquiry and funding

applications.

  • Maintain an organized list of prospects and track stages of engagement.
  • Identify new potential funders and help secure introductions where appropriate.

General Office & Mission Support (10%)

  • Contribute to a collaborative, high-performance office environment.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to mission projects, donor support, and

communications as needed.

Uphold our Christian, mission-focused culture of professionalism, integrity, and joyful service.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in communications, business administration, public

relations, nonprofit management, or a related field (or relevant experience).

  • Strong research and investigative skills; able to dig into public databases and extract

useful information.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, follow-through, and organizational skills.
  • Experience maintaining contracts, vendor relationships, or customer service

accounts is an asset.

  • Familiarity with CRA charity filings or grant research tools is helpful, but training will

be provided.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable learning

new software.

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a small yet fast-moving office.

Personal Attributes

•A genuine appreciation for and alignment with the mission, values, and Christian identity of LLL-Canada.

  • Integrity, reliability, and a commitment to excellence.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • A desire to contribute meaningfully to a ministry that serves congregations and

communities.

Important Note:

LLL-Canada is a Christian ministry. We welcome applicants from a variety of backgrounds, and this role requires daily engagement with Christian content, language, and mission-driven decision-making. Applicants should be comfortable working in an explicitly faith-based environment.

Why Join Us

  • A mission-centered workplace where your work directly supports Gospel outreach.
  • A small, supportive team committed to mutual care and high-quality work.
