Position: Technical Support Specialist

Location: Remote (with occasional on-site work in Kippen or Zurich, Ontario)

Who You'll Be Joining

Our Technical Support team is the heart of AMP's customer experience. They're dedicated, knowledgeable, and genuinely care about each customer's needs and satisfaction. With a calm, clear, and confident approach, they work to resolve a wide range of technical issues while delivering consistently high-quality support that earns trust and loyalty from our clients.

What You'll Do

As a Technical Support Specialist, you'll be the first point of contact for our customers, providing real-time assistance via phone, email, and chat. Your day might involve helping a customer troubleshoot a device, resolving phone or internet issues, or walking someone through setting up web hosting or support for or supported security systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering friendly and professional support to customers using AMP and partner

services

  • Troubleshooting issues with hardware, software, connectivity, and service configurations

  • Guiding users through setup and configuration processes for devices and digital services

  • Escalating complex issues to the appropriate internal teams

  • Documenting interactions and solutions accurately in our system

  • Representing the AMP and parent company brands with empathy, efficiency, and

excellence

  • Additional side tasks as assigned

Shift Information

  • Full-time position

  • 5 shifts per week

  • Availability required on weekends and holidays

Operating hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:00am–10:00pm ET

Weekends and Holidays: 8:30am–5:00pm ET

Work Location

This is a remote position, but candidates must be willing to occasionally work from our offices in Kippen or Zurich, Ontario, based on business needs.

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in customer service or technical support (retail, hospitality, or call center

background an asset)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities

  • Comfort learning and navigating new technologies

  • Ability to stay calm under pressure and think independently

  • Interest in telecommunications, customer service, security, and digital services is a plus

Interview Process

  1. Video interview (30–60 minutes)

  2. In-person interview

  3. Background check for final candidate
