Ontario Truss & Wall (OTW) is a locally operated, high-quality truss and wall design and manufacturer. Founded in 1982, OTW has been a staple in the local construction industry for over 40 years. Quality, design and precision have allowed OTW to efficiently grow year over year, which requires an expanding team.
This is a particularly exciting time to join a growing team as we are in the midst of an expansion that will allow us to double our production output.
Our major product offerings are roof trusses, wall panels, floor systems, LVL beams and connection hardware. The successful candidate will be integral in growing the sales of each of these product lines through the development of new customer relationships. This will be a primarily remote position, with the business development executive responsible for servicing the region from just east of Oshawa to Barrie up to Huntsville.
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to join our team. This role is essential in driving growth and expanding our market presence. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in business development, with expertise in negotiation, project management, and customer relationship management. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with potential clients, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Responsibilities
- Research market trends, and identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Generate leads, reach out to prospects, and develop/maintain strong relationships to expand the client base.
- Collaborate with the design department to prepare and submit quotes and proposals.
- Utilize HubSpot and Mitek for tracking leads, managing customer relationships, and reporting on sales activities.
- Maintain strong communication with all internal teams to ensure seamless execution of business initiatives.
- Attend industry events, network with potential prospects, and remain informed on competitor activities.
Experience & Requirements
- Proven experience in business development or a related field, with a track record of achieving sales targets.
- Strong sales skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to read architectural and structural plans considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with truss manufacturing and/or residential construction practices considered an asset but not a requirement.
- Proficient in HubSpot or similar CRM tools for managing client interactions and sales processes.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on building rapport with clients.
- Ability to travel within Ontario.
- Ability to adapt in a consistently changing environment.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
