UNB Online is a unit within Learning Futures that is focused on delivering innovative and flexible online credit and non-credit courses and programs to meet the educational needs of undergraduate and graduate students, adult learners, professionals, and remote students. The unit supports learners through academic advising, course navigation, learner success strategies, and facilitation of access to student services.

Salary Range: $56,416 - $73,324 per annum
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Coordinator, Adult Learner Services reports to the Executive Director of UNB Online and is responsible for the administration, delivery, and improvement of academic support services for adult learner-focused credit and non-credit programs. This includes advising, learner retention strategies, and collaboration across departments and external partnerships. The role supports student success and strengthens program engagement across a variety of initiatives, including professional development and credit pathways.
Administer and implement support services for adult learner-focused credit and non-credit programs, including registration logistics, intake communications, and service delivery.Coordinate student-facing materials, timelines, and ongoing program communication in alignment with institutional goals.Provide academic advising for adult learners enrolled in programs such as the Bachelor of Integrated Studies, Certificate in Leadership Studies, LPN-BN Pathway, Certificate in Applied Behaviour Analysis, University Prep, and others as assigned.Advise part-time students receiving scholarships and bursaries, supporting retention and success through proactive advising, course planning, and academic problem-solving.Coordinate services related to the PLA Centre, including assessment facilitation, process improvements, stakeholder communication, and integration with advising and support.Liaise across departments and faculty units, contributing to program planning, delivery, committee work, and policy development related to adult learners and flexible learning.Lead and support initiatives that enhance student service delivery, academic pathways, and credit recognition.Represent Learning Futures on strategic committees and partnerships, including Faculty Council, Registrar's Advisory Committee (RAC), SEM-OAC, and CFB Gagetown collaborations.Manage communication and support for several hundred active learners annually.Participate in multi-unit projects and initiatives that influence strategic university planning and partnerships.Contribute to process improvements that impact enrolment and retention.Coordinate PLA activities and maintain accurate records in accordance with academic standards and policy.WHAT YOU BRING
Bachelor's degree in Education, Adult Education, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in academic advising, student services, or adult learning support in a post-secondary environment.Additional Strengths
Proven leadership skills in supervision, coordination, and team support. Leadership skills within an academic or student services setting is considered a strong asset.Expertise in Prior Learning Assessment & Recognition (PLAR) advising, administration, and process development.Ability to mentor learners and guide the development of individualized learning plans.Knowledge of adult education principles, flexible learning models, and university systems.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advising skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.Familiarity with student information systems, academic policy, and stakeholder or committee engagement.Look for yourself
