As a certified ChargePoint EVSE installation partner, we're expanding our residential/commercial team to meet the growing demand for EV Charger Installations, and electrical services across the Waterloo Region.

Position Overview

We're seeking a Licensed 309A Construction and Maintenance Journeyperson Electrician to join our residential/Commercial division. This is a part-time position that is expected to evolve into a full-time role as our EV-charging and residential/commercial work continues to expand.

Reporting directly to the Owner, the successful candidate will take part in both hands-on electrical installations and day-to-day operations, including quoting and materials procurement.

While not completely limited to these areas, most of the work will involve new installations — particularly EV chargers, panel changes, and service upgrades.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform residential/commercial electrical installations, including EV charger installations, panel changes, and service/system upgrades.
  • Conduct site visits, evaluate existing electrical systems, prepare job scope and material takeoffs, and prepare quotes and cost estimates.
  • Handle materials procurement and manage job-specific inventory.
  • Submit and complete ESA notifications and ensure all work complies with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC).
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites and uphold Electrilogix's safety and quality standards.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners, clients and management, providing clear and honest service.
  • Work independently or with an apprentice as needed.
  • Use a personal vehicle for service work when required — all travel time and mileage/expense costs will be compensated according to company policy.

Training & Development

  • Must be willing to complete online ChargePoint Installer Certification and other EV-related training.
  • Must be willing to take ESA and other industry-related training to stay current with codes, safety standards, and emerging technology.
  • Must have (or willing to obtain) valid Working at Heights certification and elevated platform/boom lift training.

Qualifications

  • Valid Ontario 309A Electrical Licence.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a licensed journeyperson electrician in Canada, ensuring familiarity with Canadian electrical standards, ESA procedures, and the OESC.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in residential electrical work overall.
  • Valid G driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and customer communication.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in small teams.
