Position Overview
The 309A Licensed Electrician will be responsible for performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs in compliance with the Ontario Electrical Code and company standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver quality workmanship in a safe and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and equipment in accordance with blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Read and interpret electrical diagrams, layouts, and blueprints to execute installations and maintenance tasks accurately.
- Perform precise pipe bending and wire fill calculations to ensure compliance with electrical code requirements and efficient material use.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized electrical equipment to complete work safely and efficiently.
- Participate in construction and renovation projects by installing new electrical infrastructure or upgrading existing systems.
- Conduct detailed inspections to identify potential electrical hazards and implement appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure all work adheres to safety standards, company policies, and local electrical codes.
- Collaborate effectively with project managers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on time and within scope.
Qualifications
- Valid 309A Electrical License (required).
- Minimum (5 Years) of experience in residential, commercial, or industrial electrical work.
- Strong understanding of the Ontario Electrical Safety Code and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in pipe bending, conduit installation, and wire fill calculations.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, and schematics.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
