Ottawa area commercial electrical contractor servicing clients for 31 years is looking to add an experienced Construction Foreman to the team. We are looking for an experienced Electrical Foreman to oversee commercial electrical projects in the Ottawa area. Our ideal candidate is a licensed electrician (309A) with proven leadership skills who can manage safety, guide the team of electricians and apprentices on your site, ensure work is completed efficiently and in compliance of OESC and MOL standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and lead a team of electricians and apprentices.
  • Plan, Prioritize and delegate work to ensure schedules and budgets are met.
  • Ensure all installations meet the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.
  • Work with our team of Project Managers and Estimators to ensure our internal objectives are met.
  • Conduct quality checks on installations to drive quality installs.
  • Manage Tools, Materials, and equipment on-site.
  • Train , Mentor and evaluate apprentices to support their development and maintain productivity.
  • Trouble Shoot and resolve electrical or technical issues.
  • Prepare accurate site progress reports.

Qualifications:

  • Valid 309A Construction and Maintenance Electrician License required.
  • Master Electrician Beneficial
  • Government security Clearances beneficial
  • Working Knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code and Bulletins.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications and installation instructions.
  • Valid Ontario Drivers License.
  • Safety Training - Working at Heights, Elevated Platform Training, WHIMIS and First Aid.
