Job Purpose:

The job purpose of a production manager includes overseeing the manufacturing or production process to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The tasks carried out by a Manufacturing Production Manager are diverse and critical to the company's success:

·      Monitoring production to resolve issues promptly and escalate unresolved issues to appropriate channels.

·      Implementing cost control measures to reduce operational and production expenses.

·      Utilizing ERP software for production planning and inventory management.

·      Adapting resource allocation based on production schedules and shifts.

·      Ensuring that products are produced on time and are of good quality.

·      Enhancing employee engagement and facilitating the development of a high-performing team.

·      Develop and maintain detailed production schedules, coordinating with PMC to ensure the availability of materials and labor to meet deadlines and customer requirements.

·      Oversee material requirements planning (MRP) with the PMC team, ensuring optimal stock levels, minimizing

·      inventory costs and preventing production delays due to stockouts or material shortages.

·      Implement and monitor quality control procedures throughout the production process, ensuring products meet

·      industry and customer standards, while promptly addressing any quality issues.

·      Supervise production staff, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide training and coaching to enhance skills and ensure efficient, safe operations.

·      Identify and implement lean manufacturing and process improvements to increase productivity, reduce waste, and improve cost-efficiency across production and PMC functions.

·      Enforce safety protocols and procedures to create a safe working environment, conducting safety audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

·      Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for production, including yield, efficiency, and on-time delivery. Provide regular reports and insights to management to drive continuous improvement and support strategic decision making.

·      Serve as a liaison between production, PMC, and other teams (such as purchasing, engineering, quality control, orders, and sales), ensuring alignment on production targets, material needs, and any potential disruptions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

·      A bachelor's degree in Electrical engineer,  Industrial Management, or a related field is preferred. A higher degree can be advantageous.

·      Certifications such as Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified in Production and Operations Management (CPOM) are highly regarded.

·      Extensive experience, typically 5 or more years, in a manufacturing environment is crucial, with proven supervisory experience.

·      Strong understanding of manufacturing manpower control, statistical methods and data analysis, and quality assurance protocols.

·      Experience in automated production is also a plus.

·      Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.

·      Ability to handle high pressure and critical decision-making scenarios efficiently.
