What is Stevens-Johnson Syndrome Canada?
Stevens-Johnson Syndrome Canada (SJSC) is a registered non-profit organization that aims to promote health by providing people suffering from SJS/TEN as well as their families and caregivers with access to related counseling, support groups and information programs. SJS Canada was founded over 10 years ago by Sonia Whyte-Croasdaile. The organization was created with the intention of bringing awareness to the general and medical communities by providing workshops, support groups, seminars, and information about this illness and its effects.

What are we looking for?
Want an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a non-profit organization? Stevens-Johnson Syndrome Canada (SJSC) is seeking Advisors with a passionate and motivated attitude to support the SJSC team in recruiting and managing volunteers. We are particularly interested in applicants who will help SJS Canada further our sustainability and further our community reach and impact; however, all applications are welcome This is a great opportunity to gain experience while spreading awareness about this often-fatal illness This position allows you to connect with Stevens-Johnson Syndrome and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (SJS/TEN) survivors, community members, and businesses including pharmacies, clinics, and other related healthcare institutions.

What skill sets are we looking for advisors?

  • Provide advice on how to build the organization
  • Provide advice on the latest development about SJS/TEN in the health care service

What are the roles & responsibilities of advisors?

  • Attending meetings every month to start, or quarterly, and then when needed. As outlined in our terms of reference.
