What you'll be doing:
- Assisting team members with receiving and sorting donations.
- Providing exceptional customer service at all times in a variety of situations to enhance the donor experience.
- Educating customers and donors about Goodwill's mission.
- Unpacking totes for team members and to support the pricing process.
- Preparing racks for merchandising on the retail floor.
- Transporting items to and from the sales floor and place on shelves, bins and racks.
- Ensuring floors are free of stock and that all rack and shelves are neat.
- Ensuring a clean, organized and safe work environment at all times, as per site image standards outlined.
What you bring to the table:
- Must be 15 years of age or older.
- Must pass a criminal record check, including Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Exceptional customer service skills to interact with donors and members of the public.
- Must have conversational English skills.
- Dependability and reliability is required.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
- Patient and able to work with volunteers and team members with a wide range of skills and abilities.
- Ability to use material moving equipment, such as dollies, rolling carts and pallet jacks.
- As this position requires lifting, sorting and moving donations, candidates must be able to regularly lift in excess of 22 kilograms (50 pounds).
