Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dental team with various clinical and administrative tasks. This position requires a friendly demeanor, attention to detail, and a passion for promoting oral health.

Access to reliable transportation is required as some hours are in a Meaford location.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by providing necessary instruments and materials.
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all supplies are stocked.
  • Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
  • Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, including follow-ups and reminders.
  • Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix dental software.
  • Collaborate with the dental receptionist to ensure smooth office operations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix) is highly desirable.
  • Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is required.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: From $18.50 per hour
