We are seeking a skilled Full time Dental Receptionist/Level 2 Assistant to join our team. As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in a dental office setting and possess strong administrative and communication skills. MUST BE A TEAM PLAYER Knowledge of Oryx Dental software an asset but willing to train the right candidate.

Duties:

- Greet patients and visitors with a warm and friendly demeanor

- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our electronic dental records system (Oryx)

- Verify insurance coverage and assist patients with billing inquiries

- Maintain patient records and update information as necessary

- Coordinate referrals to specialists and follow up on patient treatment plans

- Ensure the reception area/sterile bay is clean and organized

- Assist with other administrative tasks as needed.

  • Assist the dentist in various procedures.

  • Keep sterile bay maintained and tidy

  • MUST be available 2-3 Saturdays a month (9am-2pm) and 2 evening shifts until 7pm (during summer time only 1 evening shift)

Skills:

- Proven experience in an administrative role/dental assisting

- Familiarity with dental terminology and dental procedures

- Proficiency in using Microsoft software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Strong computer skills, including experience with electronic dental records system

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Exceptional organizational abilities and attention to detail
