Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant Level II to join our reputable dental practice. This role involves supporting dentists during various dental procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a clean and safe clinical environment. Experience with Cleardent Software is highly desirable. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment specializing in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, and endodontics.

Duties

  • Assist dentists during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency and patient comfort
  • Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
  • Take and develop X-rays, including 3D scans, adhering to proper aseptic techniques and radiation safety protocols
  • Record vital signs and medical history updates while maintaining accurate dental/medical records in Cleardent software
  • Manage patient check-in/check-out processes as a dental receptionist when needed
  • Ensure infection control standards are strictly followed according to HIPAA regulations and OSHA guidelines
  • Educate patients on oral health care instructions post-treatment
  • Maintain knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical coding for accurate documentation
  • Support the dental team with administrative tasks related to medical documentation and records management
  • Adhere to all infection control protocols and aseptic techniques to ensure patient safety

Experience

  • Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is required, with familiarity in general dentistry procedures
  • Experience with pediatric dentistry is preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficiency with Cleardent is highly advantageous
  • Knowledge of dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, vital signs measurement, and medical imaging
  • Understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, infection control practices, and medical documentation standards
  • Certification or training in X-ray procedures and pediatric dentistry is a plus
  • Strong communication skills combined with a professional attitude are essential for success in this role

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
