Overview

The Inventory and Order Management Specialist supports Service Operations by managing inventory and order activities required for day-to-day service work. The role ensures materials, tools, and equipment are available, accurate, and properly tracked to support shop and field operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and track purchase orders for service-related materials and equipment.
  • Coordinate receiving and update inventory records in the ERP system.
  • Manage service inventory across locations, including customer-owned and rental items.
  • Perform inventory counts and assist with resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory levels based on usage and operational needs.
  • Review materials for correct part numbers, quantities, and documentation.
  • Obtain quotations and support costing and order processing activities.
  • Maintain accurate tool, equipment, and inventory records.
  • Monitor slow-moving or expiring inventory and support stock rotation.
  • Generate basic inventory and usage reports.
  • Work closely with service and operations teams to support daily activities.
  • Follow company Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIREMENTS

  • Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in inventory, materials, or order management in an industrial or service environment.
  • Experience using ERP or inventory systems.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

  • Understanding of Oil & Gas service operations.
  • Knowledge of materials, material grades, and test reports.
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings.
  • Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining practices.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization.
  • Clear communicator and team-oriented.

COMPENSATION

Compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
