Inventory specialist

As an Inventory Specialist, you ensure accurate stock management and smooth store operations. Organized and proactive, you oversee the receipt and processing of merchandise while supporting the sales team. With your attention to detail and team spirit, you contribute to delivering an exceptional customer experience and maintaining an attractive and efficient store environment.

WHAT YOU'LL DO EVERY DAY

  • Plan and execute daily inventory management activities, including receiving, verifying, and processing merchandise.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory adjustments to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage damaged items and follow proper procedures.
  • Suggest improvements and report inventory issues to management.
  • Provide personalized, proactive, and friendly customer service while supporting the sales team.
  • Maintain an attractive visual environment that aligns with the company's image.
  • Support store operations, including temporarily replacing the manager or assistant manager, and participating in store opening and closing.
  • Participate in welcoming, training, and integrating new employees.
  • Motivate the team and encourage a collaborative and positive work atmosphere.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous supervisory experience in a retail environment
  • Practical knowledge of in-store inventory management procedures.
  • Proficiency with computer tools, including inventory management software (Excel knowledge preferred).
  • Demonstrated ability to train, coach, and develop a team.
  • Good physical condition, with ability to lift medium to large items and frequently use a ladder.

YOUR WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Permanent part-time position.
  • Variable schedule based on operational needs, including day and/or evening shifts.
  • Weekend availability required.
  • Increased presence expected during peak periods (promotions, sales, seasonal changes).
  • May interact with demanding customers or in tense situations.
  • Prolonged standing and merchandise handling.
  • Regular lifting of medium to large items up to 25 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs, depending on store needs.
  • Frequent physical movements (bending, stretching, climbing ladders) as part of receiving, setup, and restocking activities.
