Workflow and File Transfer Business Development Manager

Toronto, Ontario, Canada MASV Full time $120,000 - $180,000 per year

Are you a highly technical innovator who understands the high-stakes world of content transfer, workflows, and pipelines in mission-critical environments? Do you thrive on connecting groundbreaking technology with tangible business outcomes?

We're seeking a pragmatic, hands-on business development manager to join our team and build out our developer ecosystem, focusing on the unique needs of media companies, news and sports broadcasters, and large global organizations. This is not a traditional business development role—this is a chance to leverage your technical expertise to solve real-world, high-impact problems for customers and partners who, like you, want to build innovative solutions for mission critical file workflows and pipelines.

Who You Are:

You're a technical leader with a deep understanding of media and file workflows, news and sports broadcasting, and the unique challenges of flowing content from capture to production to final delivery. While you may have a non-traditional tech background, you've become a go-to expert in your field, driven by a pragmatic desire to build reliable and efficient systems. You are also able to leverage your developer skills to build implementation samples, tutorials, and libraries on top of the MASV API.

Your Mission:

As our workflow and file transfer business development manager, you will be the bridge between our technology and the technical leaders at large international companies in various industries where media and entertainment is our beachhead. Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Explore and Develop AI workflow platform partnerships: Develop partnerships with AI vendors like OpenAI, N8N, AWS, and others to accelerate MASV workflow adoption.
  • Segment and target prospects to create revenue opportunities: Analyze, segment, and build playbooks to execute on sales campaigns to foster sales funnel and pipeline growth.
  • Deeply Understand and Evangelize Our Platform: Partner with our product and engineering teams to ensure our solution is perfectly aligned with the real-world, high-speed, and highly secure content transfer use cases of our target segments.
  • Build the Developer Adoption and Success Program: Create and manage a developer-focused GTM strategy. This includes everything from writing compelling technical documentation and SDK guides to building example projects that demonstrate the power of our APIs.
  • Lead with Technical Authority: Engage with technical leaders and engineers at target accounts. You will be their trusted advisor, not a salesperson. You'll lead technical discovery, demonstrate integrations, and work through their toughest workflow challenges.
  • Document and Share Success: Work with customers to document successful implementations and publish these workflows (anonymously if necessary) to attract other lookalike accounts.
  • Identify and Nurture Key Partnerships: Proactively probe for expansion opportunities within large organizations and identify strategic technical partnerships (e.g., with cloud observability or cybersecurity platforms) that create synergy and a better customer experience.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong collaborator who thrives in a team-oriented environment.
  • Clear communicator, able to work effectively with technical and creative colleagues.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive approach building content and developer collateral and samples.
  • Passionate about solving real-world problems.

Your Skills:

  • Proficiency in Python and Javascript with production-level tool development experience.
  • Understanding of media production and post-production workflows and pipelines.
  • Experience with GitLab, Jira, and Notion, HubSpot
