Kamloops Computer Centre is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Technician for our managed services unit.
Job Summary
We are seeking a technical leader who thrives on solving complex problems, improving systems, and guiding others. Our managed services unit is looking for a Lead Technician to help drive technical excellence and ensure our clients receive reliable, high-quality IT service.
Areas of Responsibility
You'll serve as the central technical resource responsible for overseeing advanced support requests, shaping our technical standards, and ensuring smooth delivery of services across multiple client environments. Lead technical team members to ensure efficient completion of projects and maintenance tasks.
Technical Leadership
- Act as the escalation point for complex issues across servers, networks, cloud and workstations
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level technicians
- Maintain high service quality and ensure adherence to best practices
- Research new technologies to improve our offerings
Customer Experience
- Serve as an escalation point for complex technical issues
- Build strong client relationships through proactive communication and solutions planning
- Improve operational efficiency and strengthening security
- Ensure customers receive exceptional service, stability, and measurable value
Systems and Tooling
- Manage, optimize, and standardize RMM/PSA tools
- Develop scripts, automation, and monitoring rules to improve efficiency
- Evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance our service stack
- Maintain best-practice standards for system configuration, patching, and lifecycle management
Setup & Deployment
- Lead client on-boarding, environment builds, migrations and infrastructure upgrades
- Plan and execute workstation, network, and server deployments
- Create and maintain clear documentation for processes and configurations
Planning & Strategy
- Work closely with management on technical roadmaps and project planning
- Develop and research new service offerings
- Conduct environment assessments and recommend improvements
- Contribute to developing standards, procedures, and security practices
Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- Prior MSP experience is preferred
- Background in Windows Server, Microsoft 365, networking, and virtualization
- Experience with RMM/PSA systems and supporting diverse client environments
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to think clearly under pressure
- Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership abilities
- Linux based solutions experience is an asset
- A pro-active, solution driven mindset

Pay: $55,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
