We are expanding our team and seeking a talented, detail-oriented Dental Lab Technician / Ceramist who takes pride in producing lifelike, high-quality dental restorations and is eager to learn and grow within a fast-evolving, digital dental ecosystem.

Job Description

The Dental Lab Technician / Ceramist will be responsible for designing, fabricating, and finishing a wide range of dental restorations — including crowns, bridges, veneers, All-on-X, and implant-supported prostheses.

The ideal candidate combines strong ceramic artistry with an interest in digital dentistry and AI-enhanced design. Candidates with limited digital experience are encouraged to apply; we provide in-depth training and mentorship through Implant Genius's AI platform and KDL's digital workflow systems.

Key ResponsibilitiesCeramic Work (Primary Focus)

• Perform ceramic layering, staining, glazing, and finishing for crowns, veneers, bridges, and implant-supported restorations.
• Fabricate and finalize All-on-X restorations with exceptional esthetics, function, and durability.
• Conduct occlusal adjustments, fine finishing, and ensure proper fit and color matching.
• Work with a range of ceramic, porcelain, and composite materials to achieve natural results.
• Ensure each restoration meets Implant Genius quality standards before delivery.

Digital Design & Fabrication (Training Provided if Needed)

• Design and fabricate digital surgical guides, stents, and diagnostic wax-ups.
• Work with CAD/CAM and AI-integrated software such as 3Shape, Exocad, and CoDiagnostiX.
• Prepare, inspect, and finish 3D-printed models for precision and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the Implant Genius tech team to enhance design accuracy using AI and cloud-based workflows.

Model Work & Laboratory Operations

• Pour, trim, and articulate plaster models and molds from impressions or digital scans.
• Interpret dental prescriptions, digital impressions, and clinician instructions.
• Maintain organized case documentation, records, and digital files.
• Ensure laboratory cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards.
• Participate in workflow improvements integrating IG's AI software with KDL's production systems.

Collaboration & Communication

• Work closely with prosthodontists, dentists, and digital design teams to achieve aesthetic and clinical goals.
• Communicate effectively to clarify case requirements and ensure patient satisfaction.
• Contribute ideas for process innovation and product improvement within Implant Genius's R&D framework.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1+ years of experience as a Dental Lab Technician or Ceramist (junior to senior levels welcome).
• Proven skills in ceramic layering, staining, glazing, and finishing.
• Knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, esthetics, and restorative materials.
• Experience or willingness to learn digital dental software:
• 3Shape (digital impressions and restorative design)
• Exocad (CAD/CAM and aesthetic restorations)
• CoDiagnostiX (surgical guide and implant planning)
• Familiarity with 3D printing, milling, and digital wax-ups is an asset.
• Diploma or certification in Dental Technology / Dental Laboratory Sciences is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and artistic ability.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
• Eagerness to adopt AI and digital dentistry tools as part of daily workflows.
