RWDI is a global climate and performance engineering consulting firm that helps its clients redefine what's possible by overcoming design and operational challenges, while minimizing environmental, user, and resource impact. With deep technical expertise across a broad range of services, we drive success on ambitious building, industry, and infrastructure projects. For the last 50 years, the company has worked on some of the most iconic and defining projects globally.

The role includes but is not limited to:

  • Providing acoustical expertise for a wide range of projects.
  • Providing mentorship and technical guidance to more junior staff.
  • Helping resolve complex acoustical challenges for consultation with design-oriented clients.
  • Taking a client-focused approach, where your technical skills support the success of your client's projects.
  • Communicating complex technical information in straight-forward language, and guiding clients with actionable solutions.
  • Conducting field measurements and construction administration visits at commercial, residential, institutional and construction sites primarily in the greater Los Angeles area.
  • Supporting a defined quality assurance process.
  • Providing proposal direction and review.

We are accepting applications from candidates with the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree (preferred) in acoustics.
  • 10+ years
    of experience in an acoustical consulting environment, or equivalent, and as part of design teams.
  • Expertise in physical acoustics, building acoustics and experience with acoustic instrumentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to consult with clients, and find mutually agreeable solutions
  • Ability to hold teams accountable to deliver quality technical work with focus on project budgets and deliverable schedules.

Professional Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Passion for acoustics, building/construction, and design.
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary Range: $110, $145,000.00
